Vincent Ciattei (3:50.56) Leads Eight Under 4 Minutes at Trials Of Miles at The ArmoryPublished by
Four Men Under 3:53 In Fast Men's Mile; Taylor Werner Wins Women's 2-Mile By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Armory Photo/Aviana Goode Vincent Ciattei and Jack Anstey, members of the Under Armour Dark Sky training group, went 1-2 on Saturday night in the mile at the Trials of Miles at The Armory in New York. Ciattei trimmed about two seconds off his career best with 3:50.56 and Anstey was next with 3:51.51, also a personal best. The duo was among four for the Under Armour Dark Sky group that broke four minutes. Four more from the Empire Elite group also broke the barrier. Eric Holt of Empire Elite finished third in 3:52.60 and teammate Ben Allen was next with 3:52.71. Two more from Under Armour Dark Sky, Kasey Knevelbaard (3:56.28) and Ben Veatch (3:56.46), were fifth and sixth. Empire's Nick Dahl (3:58.91) and Jack Salisbury (3:59.13) were seventh and eighth. High schooler Marcus Reilly from Edge Elite Track Club was 14th overall with US#7 4:05.48. Taylor Werner of PUMA Elite won the women's 2-mile in 9:32.56. Dorcas Ewoi, also of PUMA Elite, was second in 9:37.41. In a fast men's 2-mile, Thomas Ratcliffe of Bowerman Track Club ran 8:16.55 to defeat Amon Kemboi of Puma Elite (8:19.56). Sam Parsons of adidas was third in 8:22.14 and Kieran Tuntivate of Bowerman was fourth in 8:23.62. |
